Christmas Lunch at Rossington Hall raises £600 for Cancer Research UK

Rossington Hall is very proud to be supporting such a wonderful charity like Cancer Research UK.

Rossington Hall owner, Gary Gee, met Andrea Day from Cancer Research UK this week to hand over a cheque for £605.00.  The fantastic donation comes as a result of the recent Christmas lunch auction, where Rossington Hall auctioned off a private Christmas lunch for 12 people in the  fabulous Victorian dining room.  The auction raised £1210 with 50% of the proceeds to be donated to Cancer Research UK, a charity very close to Gary and Michelle’s hearts.

The lucky auction winners were also on hand as Gary met Andrea and were able to get a sneak peak of the beautifully Christmassy surroundings in which they will enjoy their Christmas lunch.  Having undergone a massive transformation over the last 18 months, Christmas at Rossington Hall will certainly be in a style befitting the original wealthy Victorian owners: sumptuous, bespoke period furnishings, high quality crockery, glassware and silverware, music, personal service, a meal cooked by Rossington Hall’s 3 AA Rosette chef – and a roaring real fire.  What more could anyone ask for on Christmas Day.

Andrea, who was visiting Rossington Hall for the first time was absolutely astounded by  the surroundings.  She said that it was a real privilege to be the benefactor of such a fantastic gift and she is really looking forward to working with Rossington Hall in the future.

Gary says “Having personal experience of someone close suffering from cancer I am really pleased that we have been able to help Cancer Research UK with this donation and thank the auction winner for their kind bid.”
