A grand family home, burned down and rebuilt; a training college for missionary priests for Africa; occupied by an Indian regiment and the Royal Veterinary Corps during WW2;  a school for children with special needs. Just some of Rossington Hall’s uses during its long, prestigious and varied history.

Unoccupied in recent years it had fallen into a sad state, but things are changing. This wonderful Victorian Stately home is undergoing a full renovation to return what was once a beautiful building, back to its former glory.

In May 2011 – in one of the most exciting property transactions in Yorkshire for some time – this grand building, which has roots going back to 1771, was bought as part of the Rossington Hall Estate by Doncaster business couple Gary and Michelle Gee. The couple are well on their way to achieving their goal of renovating the hall and grounds back to their original, opulent state – including the impressive Victorian stables – and plan to open as a prestigious wedding and function venue in 2012, with further hotel plans for the future.

The beautiful hall and gardens are hidden away in the 250 acre estate, which is also home to the Northern Racing College – one of only 2 of its kind in the country – and it has certainly stirred up interest both locally and further afield. More than 1500 attended an open day recently, amazed to see the progress of the restoration so far and share Gary and Michelle’s exciting plans and designs for the future venue.
